Stackable glass doors: a glass wall that slides away completely
Stackable glass doors (also called stacking, parking or slide-and-stack doors) are a European system in which individual glass panels slide along a single head track and stack neatly in a parking bay, at right angles to the opening or inside a wall pocket. Unlike a bifold, the panels are not hinged together, so there is no concertina of frames standing in the opening — and unlike a conventional sliding door, the whole opening clears.

Stacking, bifold or sliding?
Choose stackable doors when you want the opening completely clear, the floor flush, and the parked panels out of sight; they cost more than a bifold because each panel needs its own carriage and the parking bay needs space. Choose a bifold when you want a traffic door and a fully insulated, lockable wall at a lower price. Choose a sliding door when you rarely need the whole opening but want the biggest single panes. Configurations
The parking bay can be perpendicular (panels turn 90° and stack against the side wall), parallel (panels stack one behind another in the plane of the opening) or in a pocket (a slot in the wall that hides the stack entirely). Runs can turn corners with a curved track section, and the first leaf can be a hinged door for daily use. Typical villa openings of 4–8 m use 4–8 panels of about 1 m each.
Price guide
Stackable systems are priced per square metre plus the parking bay. As a market guide in Dubai, a slim-framed double-glazed stacking door supplied and installed typically starts from around AED 1,000 per m², with frameless toughened versions from around AED 900 per m². Pocket parking, curved tracks and oversized panels add to the figure. Get a price with your opening length and height.
Supply and installation
Every stackable door project follows the same five steps, and you deal with one team from first call to final clean-up.
- Free site survey. We visit, measure the structural opening, check the floor level and lintel, and talk through how you want the doors to open.
- Design and quotation. You receive a drawing with panel widths, opening configuration, glass, colour and a fixed price. Nothing is manufactured until you approve it.
- Fabrication. Profiles are cut, machined and powder-coated in your chosen RAL colour; glass is toughened and double-glazed to size.
- Delivery and installation. Our own fitters install the frame, hang and align the panels, seal the perimeter and test every lock and roller. Delivery is free across Dubai.
- Handover and aftercare. We show you how to operate and adjust the doors, hand over the care guide and register your 10-year warranty on frames and hardware.

What is a stackable glass door?

How is it different from a bifold door?
