Aluminium Sliding Glass Doors in Dubai

In-line sliding doors are the most economical: one fixed pane and one sliding pane (or two of each on a wider opening) on a two-track frame. They suit balconies, bedrooms and kitchens up to about 4 m wide.

Lift-and-slide doors are the premium choice for large openings. Turning the handle lifts the panel a few millimetres onto its rollers; once slid into place, lowering the handle drops it back onto continuous seals. The result is very large panes (3 m × 3 m and beyond) that move effortlessly and shut airtight against dust and AC loss. Most of our penthouse and villa projects in Dubai use this system.

Corner-opening sliders remove the corner post entirely so two glass walls meet and open at 90°. Pocket versions disappear into the wall cavity for a completely clear opening.

Sliding doors are described by the number of panels and tracks: a 2-panel, 2-track door has one fixed and one sliding leaf; a 4-panel, 2-track door has two fixed outer leaves and two sliding centre leaves that open from the middle; 3-track systems let three panels stack behind one another so two thirds of the opening clears. Openings from 1.8 m to about 12 m are practical; beyond roughly 4 m we recommend lift-and-slide. Heights of 2.2 m to 3.2 m are routine.

With panes this large the glass specification matters more than the frame. We fit toughened double glazing as standard and recommend a solar-control low-E coating on any west- or south-facing door, which can cut solar heat gain noticeably and lower cooling bills. Laminated glass adds security and reduces traffic noise; tinted or reflective glass adds daytime privacy without blinds. Integrated blinds sealed inside the double-glazed unit give privacy at night with nothing to clean.

Sliding doors are priced per square metre. As a market guide, an in-line thermally broken aluminium sliding door with toughened double glazing typically starts from around AED 700–900 per m² supplied and installed; lift-and-slide and minimal-frame systems start higher because of the heavier profiles, rollers and glass. Special glass, flush thresholds, oversized panels and dual-colour finishes add to the total.

Every sliding door project follows the same five steps, and you deal with one team from first call to final clean-up.

1. Free site survey. We visit, measure the structural opening, check the floor level and lintel, and talk through how you want the doors to open.
2. Design and quotation. You receive a drawing with panel widths, opening configuration, glass, colour and a fixed price. Nothing is manufactured until you approve it.
3. Fabrication. Profiles are cut, machined and powder-coated in your chosen RAL colour; glass is toughened and double-glazed to size.
4. Delivery and installation. Our own fitters install the frame, hang and align the panels, seal the perimeter and test every lock and roller. Delivery is free across Dubai.
