Aluminium Bifold Doors in Dubai

Bifold doors are described by how the panels split. A 3+0 set has three panels folding to one side; a 3+1 set has three folding left and one folding right, which also gives you a single “traffic door” for everyday use without opening the whole wall. We size the panels to the opening, keeping each between roughly 700 mm and 1,200 mm wide so the set stays balanced and light to move.

• 2-panel — small openings from about 1.4 m: kitchens, balconies, utility rooms
• 3-panel — the most common villa size, 2.1 m to 3.6 m
• 4- and 5-panel — living rooms and majlis openings of 3 m to 6 m, usually with a traffic door
• 6- and 7-panel — full-width garden walls and pool terraces up to about 8.5 m; can be split to stack both sides

Heights of 2.1 m to 2.4 m are standard; we regularly install 2.7 m and 3 m panels for double-height living spaces. The gallery below shows the standard opening diagrams.

Standard glazing is toughened double glazing with a 12 mm argon-filled cavity, which keeps the cool air in and takes the edge off direct sun. In west- or south-facing openings we recommend a low-E or solar-control coating, and for road-facing villas a thicker laminated acoustic outer pane. Tinted, frosted and reflective glass are available for privacy.

Frames are powder-coated to any RAL shade. Anthracite grey (RAL 7016), jet black (RAL 9005) and traffic white (RAL 9016) cover most Dubai projects; matt and textured finishes hide fingerprints and dust best. Handles and locks come in matching or contrasting finishes, and every panel gets multi-point locking on the traffic door plus shoot bolts on the folding leaves.

Bifold doors suit any opening you actually want to open fully: villa living rooms onto the garden, majlis onto a terrace, kitchen onto a barbecue deck, restaurant and café fronts, and pool houses. Because the panels stack outside or inside, plan a clear zone of about 150 mm per panel on the stacking side. For openings you mostly keep closed, or where you cannot spare the stacking space, a slim sliding door or stackable glass doors may be the better fit; for a frameless glass look with no vertical bars, see frameless folding doors. Bifold doors in Dubai are priced per square metre of the opening. As a market guide, a supply-and-install set in a European thermally broken profile with toughened double glazing typically starts from around AED 800–1,000 per m² for standard sizes and colours, and rises with slimmer profiles, oversized panels, special glass or dual-colour finishes. A typical 3.6 m × 2.4 m villa opening therefore lands in the AED 7,000–9,000 range installed.

What moves the price: opening size and number of panels, glass specification, colour and finish, flush or standard threshold, integrated blinds, and site access. Every bifold door project follows the same five steps, and you deal with one team from first call to final clean-up.

1. Free site survey. We visit, measure the structural opening, check the floor level and lintel, and talk through how you want the doors to open.
2. Design and quotation. You receive a drawing with panel widths, opening configuration, glass, colour and a fixed price. Nothing is manufactured until you approve it.
3. Fabrication. Profiles are cut, machined and powder-coated in your chosen RAL colour; glass is toughened and double-glazed to size.
4. Delivery and installation. Our own fitters install the frame, hang and align the panels, seal the perimeter and test every lock and roller. Delivery is free across Dubai.
