Automatic sliding doors open on a motion or presence sensor and close behind you, giving hands-free, step-free access for customers, staff, trolleys and wheelchairs. Framed, frameless or telescopic?
Framed aluminium doors are the workhorse: thermally broken profiles, double glazing and full brush seals, so they suit any entrance that is air-conditioned and faces the street. Frameless glass doors put the operator in a slim header above 12 mm toughened glass leaves and are chosen for showrooms, lobbies and offices where the frame should disappear. Telescopic doors use two or four leaves that slide over each other, giving a wider clear opening where the wall space beside the door is limited.
Retrofit kits and maintenance
Many Dubai businesses already have automatic doors whose operators are noisy, slow or unreliable. In most cases the glass and frame are fine and only the operator, sensors and rollers need replacing; a retrofit kit is fitted in a day at a fraction of the cost of a new door. We also service doors on an annual contract — cleaning tracks, checking sensor coverage and safety functions, replacing worn rollers and belts — so the door stays compliant and open for business.
Price guide
Automatic doors are priced per unit rather than per square metre, and the range is wide: a retrofit operator on an existing door costs a fraction of a complete bi-parting frameless entrance. The main factors are door type (single, bi-parting, telescopic), framed or frameless, opening width, glass specification, access-control integration and site access. Supply and installation
Every automatic door project follows five steps.
- Site survey. We measure the opening and header, check power supply and floor level, and agree sensor positions and safety zones.
- Design and quotation. A drawing with leaf sizes, operator, sensors, locking and a fixed price.
- Fabrication. Frames are powder-coated in your RAL colour; glass is toughened to size; the operator is bench-tested.
- Installation and commissioning. Our technicians fit the header and leaves, wire the operator, set speeds and sensor ranges and run the safety checks with you present.
- Handover and service. Operating training, a care guide and an optional maintenance contract.
